The third week in June proved to be a cracker for us with a whole host of anglers enjoying some great Summer fishing out of Whitby.
With the neap tides we took full advantage of the wrecking, using shads and bait we boated some cracking Cod and Ling into double figures, and another Wolf Fish which was returned.
July saw the start of the WCSA Summer Festival and one of the busiest times for any Whitby Charter Boat.
Even though we missed the top places on the board we were boating some excellent fish on a daily basis. With many fish in the 7lb-9lb bracket daily, and a good number pushing low double figures.
The fishing was up and down, with our best days coinciding on the neap tides.
The wrecks produced well during the festival and on odd days when the weather hasn't played ball we've been inshore shadding with the engine off, again on given days producing very well.
The last week in July was a steady week with us landing some quality fish.
Anglers aboard Mistress caught Ling to 15lb on baited lures and plenty of Cod between 8lb & 10lb on shads.
The same group booked me for three days for a corporate event, and took some quality fish between them throughout the three days.
The weather was kind to us and the lads wanted a BBQ one day so we arranged that for them!
